HANDICAP FAQ - CLUB LICENSING FOR 2016
Q. I saw that the MGA is working with Member Clubs to make sure they are properly licensed for the 2016 handicap season. Why do you have to do that?
A. The USGA requires that all clubs in the United States wishing to utilize the USGA Handicap System be properly licensed.
As such, the MGA works with the proper representative at your club (handicap chairperson, golf pro, etc.) to make sure that all Member Clubs are in full compliance and thus will be authorized to issue a USGA Handicap Index to their members during this upcoming season.
How can you help?
If your club is not yet properly licensed for the 2016 season (CLICK HERE for a complete list), then we ask that you reach out to your golf pro or handicap chairperson and ask them to contact our office immediately. The process of being licensed is simple and takes about an hour of one's time.
Any questions can be directed to Mike Wice via email (mwice@mgalinks.org) or phone (774-430-9100 x 2209).

READY FOR 2016 - A GOLDEN PASSPORT TO PLAY
Do you like to play different courses? Do you like saving money while supporting a great association?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, you should consider purchasing the 2016 edition of the Golden Passport to New England Golf.
This booklet is published annually by the New England Golf Course Owners Association (NEGCOA).
The 2016 Golden Passport to New England Golf is a booklet that features 41 courses and includes rounds of golf for two (and sometimes four) at championship, award winning courses throughout the region.
For the past eight years, The Golden Passport to New England Golf has provided an outstanding playing opportunity for golfers who are new to the game, for those who are planning regional golf vacations, or for players who have temporarily frozen their private club memberships.
Even the most seasoned golfer can spice up their golf game by trying out new courses. Every round in the Golden Passport was donated by New England courses and all funds go to support the association. The cost is $349 plus $7.50 for S/H.
