HANDICAP FAQ - MOBILE SCORE POSTING.

Q. There are some days when I don't have time to post my score at the club immediately following a round. Are there other options available?

A. The answer to your question is YES!

Golfers now have many options for posting scores on the go.

CLICK HERE or on the image to the right or review the following three ways that you can post scores online or from your mobiel device.

#1 - MGA Home Mobile App - Available for both Android and Apple devices at the App Store, the MGA Home Mobile App allows Bay State golfers to manage all handicap information and post scores.

#2 - My MGA Home - Log into your personalized home page online at MGAlinks.org and you can post scores and manage your handicap index.

If you are using the My MGA Home program for the first time, the system has automatically set your password to be the same as your GHIN number. To log in, please enter your current GHIN number in the login and password fields. If you have established a password in the past (most likely through the MGA's online registration program), please input your GHIN # and your personal password.

#3 - GHIN.com - Visit the main web site and utilize the "Post Scores" option located at the top of the page. You only need to input your GHIN # and last name to start posting away.

And remember to always post those scores as soon as possible following the round at the course where the round is played in order to expose scores to peer review. For more information on the posting of scores, view Section 5 of the USGA Handicap Manual.

YOU GO GIRL! - GETTING YOUTH INTO GOLF

Did you know that the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) is the only national program of its kind that specializes in providing a "girl-friendly" environment for juniors to learn and play the game of golf?

Girls Golf sites provide girls with quality golf instruction led by LPGA and PGA teaching professionals or certified coaches from The First Tee. Not only are they experts in taking girls from beginner to advanced golfers, but they also specialize in creating experiences that show girls just how much fun golf really is!

To learn more about Girls Golf and its movement to change the face of the game, visit GirlsGolf.org.

Another junior golf opportunity open to both boys and girls is the PGA Junior Golf League. It is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends.

Each team is captained by a PGA or LPGA Professional, who serves as the coach and is at the forefront of creating a welcoming environment for all to enjoy the game. PGA Junior League Golf utilizes a popular scramble format that creates a nurturing environment for learning and development - both on and off course.

Teams are now forming for the 2016 season right here in New England!
