D.W. Field Golf Course in Brockton became the 5th program location for The First Tee of Massachusetts during the summer of 2017 and was immediately provide valuable programming to more than 100 youth from Brockton and many of its surrounding communities.
Here is a summary of The First Tee of Massachusetts opportunities in the Brockton region available this summer.
PLAYer Session I: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 am, June 24 – July 24 (no class July 4 week)
Par Session I: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 – 11:30 am, June 25 – July 25 (no class July 4 week)
PLAYer Session II: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 am – 12 pm, July 29 – August 14
Par Session II: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 am – 12 pm, July 30 – August 15
PLAYer Level: Entry level to The First Tee Life Skills Experience program regardless of age or golf skill. Coaches will group participants by age and ability within the class to properly introduce the game of golf while learning The First Tee Code of Conduct and Nine Core Values, appreciating the rules and etiquette of the sport, and developing golf skills. Minimum age 7.
Par: Continued emphasis on golf skills, rules of play, interpersonal skills, and self-management skills on and off the golf course. Coaches will group participants by age and ability within the class to best serve our participants. Must be minimum age 9 and PLAYer certified.
