2026 Senior Four-Ball Championship

Registration for this event will NOT be first come, first served. Each championship flight (with the exception of any exempt teams) will be selected “low-to-high”, based on the teams combined Handicap Index® as of the published entry close date.
Eligibility
- Any two-person team of amateur golfers (ages 55+ as of May 18, 2026) who have an active Mass Golf Membership.
- Combined Handicap Index® not exceeding 12.0 (at the time of registration).
- Have played and posted 5 rounds at any Mass Golf member club/course within 12 months of the entry close date.
2026 Championship details
Due to scheduling updates for this year’s championship proper, please see below for updates to the format of the event. This year’s Senior Four-Ball Championship will be conducted as two separate championships – FLIGHT A and FLIGHT B.
Field Size – Flight Placement
- All teams submitting a registration will be sorted “low-to-high” by combined Handicap Index® as of the entry close date (April 15).
- The low 88 teams will compete in FLIGHT A, the next low 88 teams will compete in FLIGHT B.
- Any ties will be broken using the lowest individual player Handicap Index®.
Waitlist
- Any teams not selected for FLIGHT A or B will be put on a single waitlist based on”low-to-high”combined Handicap Index®.
- Teams who are added to the event from the waitlist will fill the spot of any team withdrawing, regardless of flight assignment.
Super Senior Field Size & Eligibility
- Each championship flight is guaranteed to comprise of at least fifteen (15) Super Senior Division teams (ages 65+).
- Super Senior teams consist of two golfers (ages 65+) as of May 18, 2026.
- All Super Senior Division teams will also be competing for the overall Senior Four-Ball Championship (one tee set)
Championship Tiebreakers
- In the event of a tie for the championship in either FLIGHT A or FLIGHT B a hole-by-hole playoff will be held at:
- FLIGHT A – Tedesco CC
- FLIGHT B – Indian Ridge CC
- This also applies to any tie for the Super Senior Division in either flight.
Player of the Year Points
- A full allotment of player of the year points will be awarded to each flight.
2027 Exemptions
- The following 2027 championship exemptions will be awarded to each flight.
