Competition

Mass Golf conducts state-wide Championships, events and elite tournaments, and utilize the World Handicap System to allow for competitive opportunities for golfers at the local, regional and national level.

Since 1900, state-wide championships have been conducted by the state golf organizations. Mass Golf now conducts 13 Championships that are open to both men and women and an additional 8 Championships for the top female competitors in the state. Mass Golf is also responsible for conducting all local and final United States Golf Association (USGA) qualifiers held in Massachusetts.
