Player of the Year

The collection of Mass Golf Player of the Year Awards Presented by Delta recognizes the best amateur golfers each season. Competitors from across the Bay State compete in various events at the state, regional and national levels to earn points in their respective point systems and season long point races.

The cornerstone of each point system is the Mass Golf championship program, where top amateur golfers from across the state vie for some of the most historic championships in amateur golf. Mass Golf competitors are also rewarded and recognized for their success on the national stage in all USGA Championships as well as select regional events.

Player of the Year — Men

The top performing Mass Golf amateur competitors are recognized annually by being crowned the Richard D. Haskell Player of the Year, Mid-Amateur Player of the Year, Christopher Cutler Rich Junior Player of the Year, George M. Cohen Senior Player of the Year, and Super Senior Player of the Year. Competitors earn points throughout the season as outlined by the Player of the Year (POY) system that has been established for each group by the Mass Golf Championship committee. Learn More

The top performing Mass Golf amateur competitors are recognized annually by being crowned the Anne Marie Tobin Women’s Player of the Year, Women’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year, Women’s Senior Player of the Year, and Girls’ Junior Player of the Year.
