Player of the Year

The Mass Golf Player of the Year Award recognizes the Bay State competitors who have earned the most Player of the Year points each season.

Player of the Year — Men

The top performing Mass Golf amateur competitors are recognized annually by being crowned the Richard D. Haskell Player of the Year, Christopher Cutler Rich Junior Player of the Year and George M. Cohen Senior Player of the Year. Competitors earn points throughout the season as outlined by the Player of the Year (POY) system that has been established for each group by the Mass Golf Championship committee. Player of the Year — WoMen

This award was first presented in 1994, and is named in honor of Anne Marie Tobin, President of the WGAM in 1994-1995, and seven time winner of the Association Championship in 1988, 1991-1995 and 2000. Points are awarded for performance in WGAM events, USGA events and other regional and national competitions. The award is awarded to the female competitor who earns the most Player of the Year points. Learn More
