For Immediate Release: June 25, 2019

PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts –  On the first day of qualifying for the 2019 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship, five competitors from Tuesday’s qualifier held at Southers Marsh Golf Club earned entrance into the Championship Proper being contested at Bernardston’s Crumpin-Fox Club in mid-August. For the second straight year, this year’s Championship Proper will feature a mix of both stroke play and match play, as all competitors will play 36-holes of stroke play over the first two days of competition, with the top-16 competitors advancing to match play for the final two days of competition.

An additional competitor who finished one spot below the final qualifying spot, earned alternate status and will be placed on a priority list per the Alternate Policy, which can be found on the Mass Golf Policies and Procedures Page.
