2026 Mid-Amateur Qualifying: The Ranch, Cyprian Keyes - MASSGOLF

24 Golfers Gain Entry Into 2026 Mass Mid-Amateur Championship in First Wave Of Qualifying

The Massachusetts Mid-Amateur Championship began in 1984 and now features standout amateurs through the day age 25 and older.

In the first week of qualifying at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick and Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, a combined 24 players successfully secured a spot in the Championship Proper, set to take place October 7-9 at Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton for the first time.

On Monday at The Ranch, Adam Brickle, club champion at Country Club of Pittsfield, led the way with a 2-under-par 70 that included a stretch of birdie, birdie, eagle to close out the front nine in 33. Mike Lentner, a member of The Ranch, was next behind him with an even-par 72, starting his round with a birdie on the par-5 1st hole. Southwick native Jeremy Reiser (The Tour) qualified on the number with a 76, as did Matt Gorman (The Cape Club of Sharon), who also opened the round with an eagle.

On Tuesday at Cyprian Keyes, Joe Macaulay of the host club and Patrick Sullivan (The International) each shot 1-under 71 to lead the players who advanced following a 2 hour, 18 minute delay. Out of 10 qualifiers, eight made birdie on the par-5 18th to close out their rounds, including Macaulay and Sullivan. Macaulay had just one bogey in the round. Tyler Ferrari (Wollaston Golf Club)  Tyler Ferrari (Wollaston Golf Club) birdied Nos. 16 and 18 to shoot 72, with Bud Schultz (Black Rock Country Club) and Joseph Osborne (Marlborough Country Club) each doing the same to qualify with a 74 and 75, respectively.
