KOHR Golf Center Teams Up With Mass Golf To Support Junior Golf Championships

For Immediate Release: APRIL 8, 2022

NORTON, Massachusetts – Mass Golf is proud to announce a new multi-year partnership that will make KOHR Golf the official sponsor of all three Mass Golf junior golf championships: The Junior Amateur, the Girls’ Junior Amateur and the Young Golfers’ Amateur.

Since 2018, KOHR Golf Center in Natick has been a program location for First Tee Massachusetts. But the facility has also developed and coached several of the top players, 18 years and younger, in Massachusetts, many of whom compete in Mass Golf’s junior championships. All three of those events will now be “Powered By KOHR Golf”.

With 62 hitting bays, 14 target greens and 12 USGA Greens & Bunkers, KOHR Golf Center is open 7 days a week and has been regarded as a premier golf training center in the Northeast.

“We’re ecstatic to be partnering with the team and facility at KOHR as our interests are in complete alignment for the future of the game,” said Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director/CEO. “Youth development and showcasing the young talent within Massachusetts is our collective goal and KOHR offers incredible programs, services and education to cater to all levels of junior play. We’re proud to have them powering our three marquee junior amateur championships in the years ahead.”

The strategic partnership will span across several areas of junior golf development with resources available to junior members of Mass Golf as well as parents and guardians of juniors interested in the game. Exclusive content from KOHR’s team of professionals will include ebooks, podcasts, and video that will center around mental preparedness, fitness, and golf skill improvement.

“KOHR Golf could not be more excited to partner with Mass Golf and provide junior golfers with exposure to our cutting edge education and coaching philosophy,” said Oliver Segal, KOHR Golf’s COO.  The shared vision of the leadership of both organizations will undoubtedly provide a platform to develop new and exciting golfing opportunities for the entire Massachusetts golf community this year and beyond.”

Complimenting the first-in-class facility, the KOHR Golf Academy, founded by Bill McInerney, is a one-of-a-kind program that offers young golfers a unique experience to learn and train.  Players entering the Academy have an extensive evaluation of their game and golfing goals.  Trainings cover all areas of the game including full swing, short game, on-course management and disciplines, incorporating perfect practice to daily regimen, and a personalized golf-specific physical conditioning program.

“At KOHR golf we have a fantastic team of passionate coaches that desire to grow and evolve this great sport,” said Iain Highfield, KOHR Academy Director and Mental Performance Coach. “Mass Golf shares the same vision for education, empowering and inspiring golfers across the state and this partnership will give us a platform to now do this to an even higher level.”
