spring golf checklist: become active today

For Immediate Release: APRIL 18, 2018

NORTON, Massachusetts – The active score posting season officially began in Massachusetts on April 1st. Although Mother Nature has not fully cooperated with us just yet, there are many great golf days that lie ahead.

Golfers across the Bay State are encouraged to prepare by reviewing the spring handicap checklist provided by the United States Golf Association (USGA). Click here or the link below to view that handy checklist.

ONLINE: About Members Now! | Why Have a Handicap Index | USGA – Spring Handicap Checklist

In order to fully take advantage of the active golf season, golfers should have an active Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap Index through one of the 360 Mass Golf clubs.

In addition to contacting your existing club or a club that is close to your home or place of work, golfers can also obtain or renew a Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap Index online through the Members Now! program. This golfer benefit was introduced as a way to help golfers easily connect with Mass Golf clubs and quickly become active so that they can start to post scores and take advantage of the many golfer benefits offered through clubs and Mass Golf.

To date, nearly 50 Mass Golf clubs (public, municipal or semi-private) are part of the program with the following clubs being added in just the past two months.
