For Immediate Release: August 22, 2023

REHOBOTH, Massachusetts – It was a beautiful two days in one of the most historic towns in Massachusetts history, as teams gathered from Mass Golf Member Clubs across the state to celebrate the history and legacy of Dolly Sullivan in order to further encourage and support young female Ouimet Junior Scholars.

Dolly Sullivan the niece of American golf legend Francis Ouimet, was one of the winningest golfers in WGAM history. Her longtime commitment to Milton Academy and their golf program can only be thought of as inspiration for the beginning of a tournament in her name in 1982. Furthering the game of golf and educational opportunities for young women in Massachusetts has allowed this tournament to remain a staple in the Mass Golf schedule.

On Monday, the team from TPC Boston shot the low gross score of the tournament, a 3-under-par 68 that included 3-birdies by Kim Zenisky. Zenisky joined Gina Murphy, Debbie Deeb, and Leanne Smith in the low score for the start of the tournament. On Tuesday, the team from Thorny Lea came in at 4-under 67 to add another title under their belt. With eight total wins, Thorny Lea still trails Charles River Country Club for the most all-time.

Megan Buck helped lead the team to their one-stroke victory with 4-birdies. She was joined in this team victory by Courtney Lee, Laura Jean Mann, and Lorraine Feeney.
