NORTON, Massachusetts – Mass Golf, the state golf association for Massachusetts, today announced the addition of Farzad Atif as the Manager of IT & Analytics, and Jared Winiarz as Member Services Coordinator to its full-time staff.

Atif has exemplary experience working directly with HubSpot customers to advance technology and business intelligence efforts, as well as working ground operations and outings at The Golf Club at Turner Hill in his hometown of Ipswich. “We are thrilled to welcome Farzad and Jared to the Mass Golf Team,” said Mark Gagne, Senior Director of Member Services. “The expertise they each bring will help us in advancing the growing range of programs, services and events we offer.  As we continue to focus on membership growth and engagement, both Farzad and Jared are uniquely positioned to contribute to the support and development of all we do at Mass Golf for the benefit of our members and Member Clubs.”

Atif, a Suffolk University graduate, comes to Mass Golf from 829 Studios, a Platinum HubSpot Partner, where he managed clients along their HubSpot journey from setup and onboarding to advanced automation.  He has earned and maintained over 11 HubSpot certifications in areas across the service, sales, and marketing hubs. Prior to 829 Studios, he worked for HubSpot as a Customer Support Specialist, working directly with HubSpot customers. He got his first exposure to the golf industry working at Turner Hill, where he greeted members, organized golf carts, and helped with the operation of golf tournaments.

In his new role, Atif will be responsible for leading the continued development of Mass Golf’s use of HubSpot, optimizing technological and business intelligence efforts, and providing data-driven insights to inform decisions on programs and services.

“I’m excited to be on board,” Atif said. “My background is mostly in analytics and digital marketing so combining that with my newfound love of the game of golf brought me to Mass Golf, and I think this is a great opportunity for me to sharpen my golf skills and bring my analytical mindset.

“I want to thank Mark Gagne for selecting me for this role,” he added. “Working with him has been great, and he’s somebody I can lean on with questions, and he’s been helpful starting off in this new role.”

In addition to playing casual rounds of golf at Cape Ann Golf Club in Essex and Beverly Golf & Tennis Club, Atif also competes in recreational volleyball and pickleball.

Winiarz completed his Master’s degree in Business Analytics in December 2023 at Babson, where he was a captain and later a graduate assistant coach of the men’s golf team. Prior to Mass Golf, Winiarz worked part-time at Thorny Lea, managing events in Golf Genius, supporting tournaments, and providing golf operations support to members and their guests. In 2020, he completed an internship with the Links at Mass Golf, promoting the club and First Tee programming.

Winiarz earned multiple GCAA All-America Scholar awards during his time at Hartford and Babson. During his final season at Babson, he played all 20 rounds and finished second on the team with a 74.35 stroke average. He recorded a pair of top-five finishes, including at the NEIGA Championship. His best summer amateur finish was T12 in the 2022 New England Amateur Championship at Alpine Country Club (RI).

As Member Services Coordinator, Winiarz will assist membership and member club support for GHIN®, WHS™, Members Now, Golf Genius, Youth On Course, the Student Member program and the new Men’s Team Matches. He will assist with the administration of the Course Rating Program, prospecting member growth leads, provide game day event support, and perform a variety of data management projects.

“I’m excited to move forward with the great team we have here,” said Winiarz, also a two-time Mass Open qualifier and 2022 Mass Amateur qualifier. “Everything has always been run professionally, and it’s amazing how much the organization continues to grow. I think the possibilities are endless for how we can expand and put out the best product. Seeing everything that goes on to make events happen is really cool, and it’s something I’m excited about.”
