Mass Golf Spring Team Matches Crown 2026 Cup Winners - MASSGOLF

See Which Clubs Captured Cup Titles In The 2026 Women’s Spring Team Matches

NORTON, Massachusetts (May 21, 2026) – The 2026 Mass Golf Women’s Spring Team Matches concluded Thursday, wrapping up five weeks of statewide competition among teams from Mass Golf Member Clubs.

This year’s matches featured 114 teams across 19 divisions, known as Cups, with each Cup made up of six teams of five players, plus substitutes. From April 23 to May 21, teams competed in a rotating schedule, with five teams in each Cup hosting a match day at their home course while the sixth team served as the “travel” team. Each team faced a different opponent each week.

Matches were played in a singles net match play format using 100% handicap allowance. Players earned points for holes won or tied in their head-to-head matches, and the team with the highest cumulative point total after five matches was declared the Cup winner.

Mass Golf extends its sincere thanks to the captains for their dedication in coordinating with their clubs, fellow captains and team members throughout the season. We also thank the leadership at all participating clubs for their continued support of amateur golf in Massachusetts.

The Spring Team Matches turned 125 last season, coinciding with the same year the Women’s Golf Association of Boston was formed. That year, the founding member clubs — Oakley Country Club, Concord Country Club, Brae Burn Country Club, and The Country Club — played the first Spring Team matches. The WGAB became the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts (WGAM) in 1929, and in 2018, the WGAM merged into the Massachusetts Golf Association to form Mass Golf.
