The Tee-Up New England! 2023 Auction is live, providing golfers an opportunity to play some of their favorite courses across New England, while contributing funding to imperative research in the agronomy field. After just a few days, the auction has already received over 300 bids and raised over $25,000.
All proceeds will go to the New England Regional Turfgrass Research Trust or to the UMass Alumni Turf Group to enable research that will help improve the playability and environmental viability of golf courses across the region. The auction features tee times at over 100 courses, both public and private, throughout Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, New York and New Hampshire. Most items include a foursome with carts and are not limited to a specific redemption date—be sure to click through each course listing for full details.
Highlights include the Kittansett Club (host of the 2022 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship), Essex County Club (host of the 2023 Massachusetts Amateur Championship), and the Coore and Crenshaw designed Old Sandwich Golf Club. Also up for bid is the coveted Golden Passport to New England Golf, which includes golf at 46 courses in the area for a twosome, no greens fee required (though cart fees apply). Only 200 passports are available annually, and the 2023 allotment has already sold out.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the sustainability and quality of the game in the region, while also teeing it up at a bucket list course or a local favorite. The auction runs until Monday April 17th at 9:00pm. Click the following link to register and start bidding: 2023 Tee-Up New England! Auction
