NORTON, Massachusetts (July 17, 2025) – Mass Golf, the state golf association for Massachusetts, this week announced the addition of Katie Ryan to the full-time staff as the Manager of Women’s Events.
Ryan, who most recently served as Clubhouse Manager at Pakachoag Golf Course in Auburn, officially joined the Mass Golf team on July 14, bringing with her a dynamic mix of leadership and creativity to the organization.
“We are thrilled to welcome Katie Ryan to the Mass Golf team as our new Manager of Women’s Events,” said Jenna Walkiewicz, Mass Golf’s Assistant Director of Member Services. “With her well-rounded experience from Pakachoag Golf Course and her passion for growing the game, Katie is a perfect fit for our Member Services team. Her energy, leadership, and dedication will be instrumental as we continue to promote and elevate women’s golf across Massachusetts.”
Ryan brings a wealth of hands-on experience from her time at Pakachoag, where she held multiple roles, including Clubhouse Manager, Social Media Manager, and Cashier. She led the club’s social media strategy, developed original content to promote programming, engaged with the community, and enhanced the club’s brand. She was also deeply involved in daily operations, managing point-of-sale systems, overseeing inventory, and helping coordinate special events and seasonal leagues.
In her new role, Ryan will lead the planning and execution of Mass Golf’s women’s events across the state, including the popular Spring Team & Fall Cup Matches, and a variety of tournaments. She’ll also support player engagement through Women’s One Days, introductory clinics, and other community-focused programs. Looking ahead, Ryan will also help develop new, creative opportunities that make the game more accessible, inclusive, and fun for women at every level.
“Being part of a local golf community gave me a deep appreciation for how the game builds confidence, brings people together, and opens doors,” Ryan said. “Now, I’m excited to help expand that experience to more women across Massachusetts through my work at Mass Golf.”
A native of Charlton, Ryan is a graduate of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School and holds certifications in CPR, ServSafe, and various platforms such as HootSweet. She also served as an assistant varsity softball coach at her former high school and worked with the Town of Auburn’s Recreation & Culture Department as an intern and assistant, where she helped coordinate local programming, analyzed budget data, and marketed events through digital platforms.
