Player of the Year — Women

Anne Marie tobin women’s player of the year

This award was first presented in 1994, and is named in honor of Anne Marie Tobin, President of the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts (WGAM) in 1994-1995-, and seven-time winner of the Association Championship in 1988, 1991-1995 and 2000. Points are awarded for performance in Mass Golf events, USGA events and other regional and national competitions. The award is awarded to the female competitor who earns the most Anne Marie Tobin Player of the Year points.

Women’s Mid-Amateur PLAYER OF THE YEAR

This Mid-Amateur Award will be presented to the female competitor – age of 25 & over – who scores the lowest combined gross score in two events: the qualifying rounds of the Women’s Amateur Championship (36-holes) and the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship for the Keyes Cup (36-holes).

Reconfigured for 2026 and beyond, the Women’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year award will be presented to the competitor – age 25 & over – who has the highest cumulative points total on the Anne Marie Tobin points standings. Points will only be counted for events when the player competes throughout the entirety of the event at age 25 & over.

Women’s sENIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR

This award is presented to the Senior female competitor who earns the most Women’s Senior Player of the Year points. Points are awarded to Senior players for their performance in Mass Golf events, USGA events and other regional and national competitions.

This award is presented to the Junior female competitor who earns the most Girls’ Junior Player of the Year points. Points are awarded to Junior players for their performance in Mass Golf events, USGA events, and other regional and national competitions.
