NORTON, Massachusetts – With just over a month left until the active golf begins here in Massachusetts, Mass Golf is pleased to announce that Chris Ingham will join the Championship Department as the newest Manager of Championships. Ingham begins his new position on February 27.

Originally from Keene, Hew Hampshire, Ingham has spent a majority of his career working in various roles in the golf industry, including the past three years at Crumpin-Fox Club in Bernardston, where he managed various club events, outside events and day-to-day operations of the course, in addition to organizing several tournaments and serving as a PGA Jr. League Coach and Instructor. His experience working with both Golf Genius Tournament Management and USGA Ghin Management are additional skills that will allow Ingham to make an immediate impact in the more than 20 championships and 42 qualifiers that the Championships Department will oversee during the 2019 season.

“We are very excited to have Chris join the Championship Department here at Mass Golf and become a vital member in serving the thousands of men and women who compete in our events annually,” said Kevin Eldridge, Mass Golf’s Director of Rules and Competition. “Throughout his career, Chris has gained experience working across a multitude of areas in the golf administration industry and it is those skills that will allow him to flourish in this role.”

In addition to his work at Crumpin-Fox, Ingram has also spent previous time working in a variety of roles at clubs in both New Hampshire and South Carolina, as well as a four-year stint serving on the Greater Boston Tour Event Staff for U.S. Kids Golf.

“This opportunity with Mass Golf is one that I am deeply honored to obtain,” said Ingham. “Growth as a professional is of great importance to me and I feel that Mass Golf gives me the platform to really push myself to become the best that I can be. The organization is extremely progressive and at the forefront of state-based tournament execution and this really is a dream job for me at this point in my life.”

Beginning on February 27, Ingham can be reached via email at cingham@massgolf.org.
