MATTAPOISETT, Massachusetts – On the second day of qualifying for the 2019 Massachusetts Super Senior Amateur Championship, being contested October 2-3 at Woods Hole Golf Club, 15 competitors from Tuesday’s qualifier, held at Reservation Golf Club in Mattapoisett, earned entrance into the Championship Proper.
An additional competitor who finished one spot below the final qualifying spot earned alternate status and will be placed on a priority list per the Alternate Policy, which can be found on the Mass Golf Policies and Procedures Page.
The 65 year old, Chris Kelly from Hyannis GC, took the top spot in Tuesday’s Super Senior qualifier finishing at an even-par 70 in 18-holes. Kelly started the day strong with a birdie on the par-4 first hole and snagging another on the par-4 fourth hole to record a 2-under 33 heading into the turn.
