The Links at Mass Golf Introduces #inviteHer Month in October

for immediate release: OCTOBER 3, 2018

NORTON, Massachusetts – Earlier this summer, a group of leading golf organizations came together to launch the #inviteHER campaign to encourage current golfers to get the women in their lives to start playing. Led by the LPGA Women’s Network and We Are Golf Women’s Task Force, golfers – men and women alike – are being encouraged to have others join them on the course.

The #inviteHER movement aims to generate a welcoming, positive experience for newcomers to golf and those who haven’t played in a while using group lessons, complimentary clinics, driving range sessions or on-course play.

One local facility that is taking the #inviteHER campaign directly to the course is The Links at Mass Golf, located in Norton. During the entire month of October, The Links will be offering 50% off greens fees for all females who visit the facility on any Wednesday.

The Links, which is owned and operated by Mass Golf, is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Since its official opening in 2003, the 18-hole Norton facility has become a leader for  golf development. In addition to serving as headquarters of The First Tee of Massachusetts, The Links offers a comprehensive program of daily, league and tournament play for golfers of all ages and abilities.

“We are fortunate to have  a large and growing group of female players here at The Links, but we want to invite even more to come play this great game,” said Pete Walsh, head golf professional at The Links. “Sometimes it does just take a friend asking you to play to make a difference in someone’s life. We here at The Links are asking you to extend that invite a female in your life and come play our course. We know that it will be a day you won’t soon forget.”
