NORTON, Massachusetts – As the calendar flips to 2022, it is time for golfers to start thinking about the upcoming season. Part of that process is ensuring your Mass Golf Membership (and official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index) is set before the active season in Massachusetts begins on April 1. As a reminder, to hold an official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index, you must be a Mass Golf Member.
For some, that might mean renewing membership at your club, while for others, it may be time to renew your Mass Golf Members Now! Membership via Mass Golf’s new online portal. Below are suggestions for each category of player.
New to the game? Or new to the idea of getting an official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index? No problem. Not a member at a club…no problem. You can easily obtain a Mass Golf Membership online for just $55. By becoming a member of Mass Golf you will get an official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index and access to Mass Golf’s full list of benefits.
If your club is not online through Members Now! connect with your course/club directly. Some clubs may include your official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index (and Mass Golf Membership) as part of your membership, while others will require you to acquire your Mass Golf Membership separately. Remember – the only way to get an official USGA/GHIN Handicap Index is by becoming a member of Mass Golf.
Connect with your club directly. Membership at your club will likely include a USGA/GHIN Handicap Index, which makes you a member of Mass Golf. If this is the case, no action through Mass Golf is required. If it does not include a USGA/GHIN Handicap Index, you can still acquire one directly through Mass Golf.
