Massachusetts Golfers Commit To College Programs Across The Country

With the start of the NCAA signing period on Wednesday, November 13, golfers across the country have begun signing their National Letters of Intent. This fall signing period for NCAA programs will remain open until August 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, several golfers from Massachusetts have already made at least a verbal commitment to the schools they plan to attend next year. This page will be updated as more Massachusetts golfers confirm their college commitments.

Timmy Adams – Bentley University

Adams, currently in his postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms School, was previously co-captain of the St. John Paul II golf team. He led the Lions to a Division 3 South Sectional title in 2023, where he was co-medalist. Adams was also runner-up in the MIAA Division III state championship. In 2024, he had three top-10s in the U.S. Challenge Cup, including a second-place finish at the Cape Cod Classic.

JD Ambrose – St. Thomas Aquinas

Ambrose, a senior captain for the Marshfield High School golf team, earned first-team all-conference honors during the fall season. He placed 7th at the 2024 Amateur Invitational at New England Country Club and notched two top-5 finishes in Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) events this year.

Mason Bowie – Trinity College

Bowie, a senior at Nashoba Regional High School, helped lead his high school squad to the MIAA Division 2 Central Golf Championship at Marlborough Country Club, the school’s first sectional title since 1991. The Clinton native also earned a second-place finish plus a pair of top-10s on the U.S. Challenge Cup Circuit, plus a 4th-place finish in the 2024 NEPGA Island Invitational at Vineyard Golf Club this past June.

Brian Campbell – Trinity College

Campbell, a senior captain at Wellesley High School, led his squad to an MIAA Division 1 South sectional title in 2023 and several top-5 team finishes in the Division 1 state championship. Campbell also had four U.S. Challenge Cup top-5 finishes in 2024, including 2nd at the Dale Smith Junior Stroke Play Championship at Connecticut National & Quinnatisset Country Club.

Callie Dias – Stevenson University

Dias, a senior on the North Andover golf team, led her high school squad to the Merrimack Valley Conference title this past fall, shooting a low round of 34 in the clinching match. Dias also won the Silver Division of the 2023 Massachusetts Girl’s Junior Amateur Championship, plus the NEPGA’s Boda Memorial Invitational at Andover Country Club in back-to-back years.

Will Eddy – Siena College

Eddy, a senior at Westford Academy, helped his high school squad earn a top-5 finish in the 2023 MIAA Division 1 state championship at GreatHorse. The team also finished second in the Division 1 Central Mass Championship.

Carson Erick – Georgetown University

Erick, a graduate of Hingham High School, has committed to Georgetown after a gap year. Erick won the 2023 Massachusetts Junior Amateur and finished runner-up in the same event this year. He also led Team Massachusetts to a title in the 2024 New England Junior Amateur and was 3rd in the 2023 U.S. Challenge Cup Boys Championship.

Tyler Ford – Fairfield University

Ford, a senior captain at Brookline High School, carries the No. 4 ranking in Massachusetts for the Class of 2025 by Junior Golf Scoreboard. The Brookline native won the 2024 U.S. Challenge Cup’s Wampanoag Classic in July, one of three top-5 finishes in 2024.

Ethan Hale – Bates College

Hale, a senior captain on the Cushing Academy boys golf team, placed in the top half of the field in the Independent International Invitational held Crumpin-Fox Club this past May. The Lunenburg native is also a member of Oak Hill Country Club, and has several top finishes on the NEPGA circuit over the past three years.

Nic Gebhardt – Bryant University

Gebhardt, a graduate of Saint John’s High School (Shrewsbury), won a team state title for the Pioneers in 2023 and competed in the National High School Invitational. The Rutland native also won the U.S. Challenge Cup’s 2024 Northeast Junior Classic at Bethpage (Blue & Red), plus top-5 finishes in the Nutmeg Junior Championship (3rd) and Ocean State Junior Classic (5th). He also won a club championship at Wachusett Country Club.

Drew Golden – Lehigh University

Golden, a senior at Hingham High School, placed second individually in the 2024 Cape Cod National Golf Course High School Invitational and helped his team secure 2nd at the event the previous year. He also finished 5th in the 2023 U.S. Challenge Cup Wampanoag Classic and took 9th in the Challenge Cup’s 2024 Computer Merchant Cup.

Lillian Guleserian – Penn St. University

Guleserian, a senior at Westwood High School, won the 2023 New England Jr PGA Championship and has several top finishes, including runner-up in the 2024 New England High School Girls Golf Championship. She also took 2nd in the 2024 Mass Girls’ Junior Amateur Stroke Play, advancing to the match play final. She also placed third individually in the 2024 New England Junior Amateur.

Tripp Hollister – Bryant University

Hollister, a senior at St. John’s Prep (Danvers), won the Gately Cup (Boys 14-18 Division) as part of two U.S. Challenge Cup top-5 finishes in 2024. A Sudbury native, Hollister also placed T4 individually in this year’s MIAA Division 1 state tournament and was 6th in stroke play during the Mass Junior Amateur, making it to the quarterfinals.

Mason Malouf – Babson College 

Malouf, a senior at Brooks School in North Andover, placed 7th in both the 2024 U.S. Challenge Cup World Series of Jr Golf and the NEPGA Island Invitational. The Concord native also earned a 9th-place finish at the 2024 Golfweek New England Jr Open in July at Ledgemont Country Club.

Max McColgan – St. John’s University

McColgan, a senior, captured the 2024 U.S. Challenge Cup Spinal Technology Classic title and recorded three top-4 finishes in U.S. Challenge Cup events this year. A Massachusetts Junior Amateur quarterfinalist, he also contributed to Team Massachusetts’s victory at the 2024 New England Junior Amateur.

Joey Nee – Bentley University

Nee, a senior at Medfield High School, was a four-year Tri-Valley Small League all-star and 2024 League MVP. The two-time captain was the youngest qualifier for the Mass Open Championship this year. The Medfield native competed on the U.S. Challenge Cup tour with several top 10s over the past few years, including a 3rd-place finish at this year’s Amateur Invitational at New England Country Club.

John Noonan – Bentley University

Noonan, a senior at Tabor Academy, was a 2023 ISL All-League selection. In August 2024, he was medalist in qualifying for the Golf Performance Center Junior Tournament, shooting 5-under-par 67 at Salem Golf Club in  North Salem, New York.

Matthew Oliveira – UConn

Olivera, a senior at Bishop Stang High School, posted three top-3 finishes in U.S. Challenge Cup events in 2024 and placed 7th at the 2023 Nutmeg Junior Classic. The North Dartmouth native is the youngest men’s club champion in Country Club of New Bedford history; Olvera led Bishop Stang to a Division 2 state title as a freshman in 2021.

Erika Redmond – Merrimack College

Redmond, a senior at Concord-Carlisle High School, reached the Round of 16 in the 2024 Massachusetts Women’s Amateur Championship and secured 8th at the 2024 MIAA Girl’s Golf State Championship. The Concord native also placed 9th in the NEPGA Junior Championship.

Isabella Scioletti – St. Anselm University

Scioletti, a senior at St. John Paul II High School and a Hyannis native, was the runner-up in the Cape and Islands Girls Championship and is a three-time NEPGA junior event champion. She also competed in the 2024 Mass Girls’ Junior Amateur, which took place at Bass River and Bayberry Hills on Cape Cod.

John Scully – Holy Cross

Scully, a senior at Winchester High School, placed 5th at both the 2023 AJGA UHY Albany and the 2024 U.S. Challenge Cup World Series of Junior Golf. The Winchester native also earned a 7th-place finish at the 2023 Golfweek New England Junior Open.

Will Spring – Providence College

Spring, a senior at Concord-Carlisle High School, won the Cape Cod National Golf Club High School Invitational with a score of even-par 72 and finished second in the MIAA Division 1 Central Mass Tournament. He also earned a victory in the 2022 Bay State Cup, which took place at Olde Scotland Links and Indian Pond Country Club.

Lilly Sprister – University of Hartford

Sprister, a senior at Wachusett High School, led Wachusett’s girls golf team to the team title in the 2024 MIAA Spring Golf Championship. The squad also finished 16-0 in regular season match play competition and won the Central Mass. Championship.
