NORTON, Massachusetts – Mass Golf is helping to prepare its Member Clubs for the upcoming season by offering an educational forum aimed at equipping club officials, staff and leadership with tools and information that will allow them to better manage their operations this coming season and beyond.
The next edition of the CLUB LEADERSHIP FORUM will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at Ferncroft Country Club and will feature an engaging presentation and discussion on MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AND RETENTION.
The keynote address will feature Steve Graves, President of Creative Golf Marketing, who will educate attendees about the core fundamentals that will help each facility – regardless of type, size and location – best maximize its ability to efficiently retain and earn new members.
“Steve Graves brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to our club officials,” said Mark Gagne, Mass Golf’s Director of Member Services who launched the Club Leadership Forum in 2017. “This session is meant to bring new and impactful information to our clubs that is based on the latest trends and real world experience from across our industry.”
In addition to club staff, Gagne encourages anyone who holds a leadership position at a Mass Golf Member Club to consider attending.
“The opportunity to learn and network is important for a wide audience at the club level,” said Gagne. “The Forum events are also designed to be interactive and to encourage the open exchange of ideas that can benefit all Member Clubs.”
The Club Leadership Forum was developed primarily for the benefit of club officers, board members, committee chairs, owners and the professional staff (club managers, golf professionals and golf course superintendents) to hold regional gatherings featuring education and networking opportunities.
This latest event will mark the fifth Club Leadership Forum event hosted by Mass Golf. In 2018, Club Forums were held at GreatHorse (May) and Willowbend (November).

The featured keynote address will be “What are the Core Fundamentals to Membership Growth and Retention?”, which will be presented by Steve Graves, President of Creative Golf Marketing.
As the President of Creative Golf Marketing, Graves’ company has rendered over 1,500 consultations/marketing initiatives for private club clients over the past twenty years. These consultations focused primarily on increasing each club’s revenues, marketability, efficiency and long-term financial stability.
