On Monday, it was announced that Mass Golf members will be able to enjoy the opportunity to play nine member clubs throughout the state during the 2019 season, beginning with Falmouth’s Cape Club on June 5, with many more sites slated to be added in the coming weeks. The nine sites currently scheduled will either feature tee times or a shotgun style format.

“We are very excited to continue with our Member Day program during the 2019 season and continue to offer competitors of all abilities the opportunity to play on some of the area’s top courses,” said Mark Gagne, Mass Golf’s Director of Member Services, who oversees the Member Day program. “For nearly a decade, this program has played an important role in our initiative of growing the game of golf and we are grateful that so many clubs in all regions of Massachusetts continue to support this important program by allowing us to host these one-day events at their clubs. We are thrilled to announce these sites, as well as the many others that we will be unveiling in the near future.”

The list of Member Day sites for 2019 also include Orchards Golf Club (South Hadley), Ipswich Country Club, Walpole Country Club, Pawtucket Country Club, Ledgemont Country Club (Seekonk), The Cape Club of Sharon, Acoaxet Club (Westport) and Tedesco Country Club (Marblehead).

Coming off a record year that saw us host 28 events in 2018, the popular Member Day program, which first began in 2010, is designed for golfers of all ages and playing abilities and is open to anyone who holds a current Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap index at one of the 360 member clubs across the Commonwealth. The one-day events offer an affordable, casual and fun atmosphere for all, while also providing tournament experience for those looking for healthy and spirited competition.

The cost per person, if selected in the lottery system used to fairly select all interested parties, will remain at $90, which covers greens fees, cart and access to the range prior to the start of the event.
