Team Mass Golf Taking On The 100 Hole Hike - MASSGOLF

team mass golf taking on 100 hole hike challenge to make golf more affordable and accessible for youth

NORTON, Massachusetts – Golfers representing Mass Golf will be participating in the 100 Hole Hike this October at The Links at Mass Golf, located in Norton. Team Mass Golf will be taking on the challenge of playing 100 holes of golf in one day to raise money and awareness for Youth on Course, the national program that Mass Golf offers to provide youth with access to affordable golf and life-changing opportunities.

“Participating in annual events such as this is critical towards driving support and building awareness of these incredible opportunities for our youth,” said Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director/CEO. “Growing the game and providing affordable access for youth in Massachusetts is woven into the fibers of Mass Golf’s strategic plan. Heading into our third year of sponsoring this program we are committed to building upon the tremendous impact that we have had thus far.”

Youth on Course brings affordable course access to youth golfers throughout Massachusetts. The $15 annual membership fee gives youth golfers ages 6-18 access to play at any participating course throughout the Bay State and across the country for only $5 per round. When Juniors join Youth on Course through Mass Golf, they will also become Mass Golf members.

The team from Mass Golf is made up of four hikers that will hit The Links on Friday, October 2.  Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director will be joined by Patrick Fannon, Manager of Member Events & Services at Mass Golf as well as two members of Mass Golf’s Board of Directors, Scott Baker and Sally DeGan.  To support Youth on Course in Massachusetts, you can pledge any amount towards any golfer below. All funds go towards subsidizing the cost of rounds of golf for youth in the state.

“I’ve played 100 holes of golf before in one day, but this time there is a whole different meaning behind it,” said Patrick Fannon. “Being a part of this team and raising funds for Youth on Course makes this long round of golf that much more important for me.”
