YOC FAQ Clubs - MASSGOLF

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING COURSES

What if I don’t want YOC play taking up my tee sheet during busy times?

  • You set the days and times that kids can play. We also ask that kids call ahead to courses to make a tee time just to double check availability.

What are some examples of “restricted times”?

  • “Twilight only,” “Weekdays only,” “Anytime after 12 PM,” etc.

Can I change my existing availability for YOC play?

  • Yes, contact Kyle Sherman at ksherman@massgolf.org or 774-430-9014 if you want to make changes to your available days/times.

How does my facility get reimbursed?

  • You must record each round using an easy-to-use online check-in system known as the course portal. Once a month, Mass Golf will send your club a check for those rounds based upon the agreed-upon subsidy rate.

What is the deadline to log rounds in the course portal?

  • You must log all rounds for a given month by the end of the day on the 3rd of the following month. For example, all YOC rounds at your facility in June must be logged in the course portal by the end of the day on July 3rd. A reminder email will be sent out on the first day of each month to the designated YOC contact person at your facility.

How will I know if kids are members when they check in?

  • YOC members have to show their membership cards (accessible within the YOC mobile app or printed) when they check in. This will have the information you need to log their round in the course portal.

Which Massachusetts courses participate in Youth on Course?

  • Below is a map of participating courses in Massachusetts. Please keep in mind that each course has unique days/times that are open for YOC members to play, as well as different requirements for adult accompaniment.
