Mass Golf | Donate

make a difference This holiday season

Are you looking to give back to the game that has brought so much to your life?

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Mass Golf is unique because any donations made go directly to supporting our efforts to create playing opportunities for all and to growing our junior golf program for those in most need through The First Tee of Massachusetts. It is a model that we were leaders in creating and that other groups are trying to adopt.

An added bonus is that all donations made through Mass Golf are 100% tax-deductible.

Here are two ways that you can give back today and make a meaningful difference in 2018:

  • DONATE & BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN A NEW PUTTER

Anyone who makes a direct donation of $25 or more to Mass Golf or The First Tee of Massachusetts will be automatically entered to win a new Titleist Scotty Cameron putter which was made possible by our friends at Titleist.

Donations made between November 1 and December 31 will be eligible, and a winner will be selected after the New Year and announced via social media @PlayMassGolf.

  • LEARN MORE ABOUT GIVING BACK THROUGH GOLF

Mass Golf is the seventh largest state golf association in the country and has become a leader to providing a  pathway for all golfers – from the most elite to the recreational – by building an engaged community through competition, developmental programs, and lasting experiences.

The 501(c)3 organization provides critical services to its Member Club base and also continually creates value-added programs for the more than 87,000 golfers who hold a Mass Golf/GHIN handicap index with our Member Club base.

By making a donation to Mass Golf, you are investing in the future of the game for generations to come.

The First Tee of Massachusetts

The First Tee is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Since 1997, over 10 million young people have had exposure to The First Tee through programs at golf courses, schools and youth agencies. The First Tee is a very powerful brand in the golf industry right now and it is because of the strength of its golf and life skills curriculum. In recent years, The First Tee has developed the motto – “Good Golfers. Better People.” – and the program is truly living up to that statement.

The First Tee of Massachusetts is one of approximately 150 chapters of The First Tee that currently operates five program locations (green-grass facilities that offer programs throughout the year) located around the state – Norton, East Longmeadow, Hyannis, Boston and Brockton. More than 2,000 children are impacted annually at the program locations through a variety of learning opportunities.

With a motto of “Good Golfers. Better People”, The First Tee has – since 1997 – provided programmatic exposure to more than 10 million young people  through programs at golf courses, schools and youth agencies.

By making a donation to The First Tee of Massachusetts, you are helping to impact even more youth in need across the state. Donations can be directed to all programs or specific program locations.

WGAM Junior Scholarship

The WGAM Junior Scholarship Fund, Inc. was organized in 1985 for the sole purpose of providing scholarship aid to deserving WGAM junior golfers. It is a federally income-tax-exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. When the merger between the MGA and WGAM become official, the Mass Golf Board of Directors made a decision to continue supporting the WGAM Junior Scholarship Fund so that all existing scholarship funds could go towards assisting deserving candidates.
